Local Sussex Honey
Paynes local Sussex honey is sourced from our own hives situated along the beautiful Sussex South Downs as well as from our apiaries across the rest of the county. The chances are that we have bees not far from you as we have around 1500 hives spread all across Sussex. Made from the abundance of mixed wild flowers and other flora such as white clover, blackberries, lime, oil seed rape around our sites, our honey has a beautiful yet subtle flavour to it and varies in colour and taste depending on what flowers the bees have visited. This makes the honey from each apiary have its own unique flavour.
The whole process from the tending to the hives, extracting the honey to bottling and jarring it is all completed by members of the Payne family. Our honey is untreated and natural with nothing added to it so has all the goodness straight from the hives as the bees intended! We are a long standing family business who take pride in our local honey.
Our local Sussex honey is available in 227g and 340g sized jars as well as in larger tubs.
